Record crowds turned out across Washington last year to oppose the terminals at public hearings. Despite this, corporate politicians in both the Republican and Democratic parties – from Bellingham and Olympia to Washington D.C. – are essentially allowing the coal terminal projects to go ahead.
These corporations have billions of dollars in profit at stake from potential exports of coal to Asia. It will take a major organized grassroots effort, independent of both corporate political parties, to stop these terminals from being built.
Join us for a discussion about building a mass movement to put the brakes on coal trains, and join the struggle for system change, not climate change.
