Upon noting, within the “Declaration of Occupation” passed by the New York City General Assembly of Occupy Wall Street and adopted by the General Assembly of Occupy Seattle, grievances that address the exploitation of animals and the earth by industries driven by profit over lives, and noting the creation of an Animal Rights & Envir…onmentalism group within Occupy Wall Street, we of the 99% have formed the Occupy Seattle Animal Rights & Environmentalism Work Group.

This group is formed to represent the other 99%, the living sentient beings that are exploited and killed by industries for profit. This group is formed to give voice to all of us, to all beings who wish to live in an environment that is not ravaged and polluted in the name of profit.

We are all the 99%. All beings, human and nonhuman, wish to not be oppressed and exploited, to live on clean land, breathe clear air, drink pure water, and eat untainted food. Let us join together to reclaim the life, dignity, and habitat for all of us, of all living beings.

Saturday is called a national day of action. As industries profit off the exploitation of ALL beings, both human and nonhuman, and the destruction of our environment in which all beings live, the Animal Rights and Environmentalism Group works to expose these hidden practices and offer solutions that benefit all beings and the earth in which we all live. Several people are meeting at Westlake park to raise awareness by standing in a circle formation holding signs, while someone hands out flyers. We can rotate who leaves the circle to flyer. I printed 4 flyers yesterday. Please come and join us if you can. Please wear colorful clothing if you can, as it attracts attention, which is what we hope for! thank you.
